    Great Game at Garner

Garner's facility under the lights was fabulous and everyone who was there saw a great game. Leesville played their hearts out but just couldn't quite hang with Garner's power. All of us there rooting for Leesville are very proud of the team and the way they finished the season.

    Harnett Central Wins

Harnett Central beat Western Alamance 10-0 in 6 innings.
Emma Cotten picked up the win with 1 K, 2 hits, 4 walks, 1 HP.
HC defense showed up, 2 double plays, McKenzie Harrelson also robbed a WA player of a base hit. Ball hit hard to right, MH tracks it down and throws her out at first. Batter was shocked and rest of team felt it too.
Emilee Somers took the loss on 0 Ks, 10 hits 4 walks.
Best play of the game: Toni Ann Williford was on third. Catcher threw down on her several times trying to hold her lead. Third throw down, Toni Ann breaks for home and scores easily. It just goes to show the kind of ball player she is.

He took all the credit for the loss, any team can lose on any given day, AC didn't lose because they wasn't prepared, they lost because Mcdowell outplayed them, AC run ruled them in the past, not this time, it wasn't ment to be this year...........Don't blame the coaches or players, they had a great year, instead let's congradulate Mcdowell on a big win and pull for the NW4A.

Monte, you are a great coach and a even better person.........thanks for your leadership to the girls, on and off the field..............

Let's get back to the focus of this thread, scores, not bashing....

    moderator please take note!!!!!!!!!!!

    Final from Kernersville

    Sun Valley 6 Glenn 9

SV had their chances. Game was tied at 5 going into the 6th. Glenn hit the ball well as they scored 5 in the 2nd and 4 in the 6th. SV had an early lead before tieing it up in the 5th. Alex Stegall had a long homer in the 7th as SV tried to retake the lead. SV represented the South Piedmont well as a 5 seed. We gave the Lady Cats of Glenn all they wanted. SV can be proud of their efforts and look forward to a return visit to the playoffs next year. The coaches and players from Glenn were very gracious and hospitable as hosts and equally displayed good sportsmanship throughout the game. I wish them luck as they face E Randolph Thursday.
