It was great seeing you Fishman and your lovely DD, Landon. Thanks for introducing me to all the TBR'ers. I now have a face to go with the screen names. Good to see everyone.

 

Were you out there today fish? Great games today by everyone. Tons of talent out there and great crowds.

Sorry I missed the shindig at Grand Slam yesterday. I was chasing a little white ball around all afternoon. Did ya'll break the fishes bank?

Riverside and Middle Creek

Friday night's game between Riverside and Middle Creek was awesome. Both teams played their hearts out. I hated to see either one of them lose that one!

Riverside's game against Butler was also awesome!

For those who aren't aware, one of the best player's in the state, Riverside's Christie Thomas, was out after having an appendectomy the Tuesday before the games. Anyone who has ever seen Christie play knows that she would have made at least a one-run difference in the Butler game. With her defense and offense missing from the lineup Riverside was almost doomed from the start. They played far above my expectations under the circumstances.

After jokingly asking her if she was going in Christie said she would go in if they would let her. Of course there was absolutely no way she would have been able to. But anyone who has ever seen her creeping in on a bunter/slapper down the 3rd base line (usually coming within about 6-8 feet of the batter) knows she would have had the courage to go in the game if they would have let her.

Don't worry East teams, we're getting closer and closer!! Wait 'til next year!
