2009 ALL PING!BASEBALL FRESHMAN TEAMS

    Congratulations to Akeem Hood (NCCU, Raleigh Millbrook HS) for being selected to the 2009 ALL PING!BASEBALL FRESHMAN TEAM.

    Congratrulations also extended to Kevin Brandt (ECU, Fuquay Varina HS) on making 2009 ALL PING!BASEBALL FRESHMAN TEAM.

    Both these young men had outstanding freshman seasons.

    I'm a little surprised that Levi Michael did not make this list. But what caught my attention were the two freshmen pitchers from Cal State Fullerton. They both had an awesome year. I hope they are an awe of their circumstances playing in the CWS and the Heels can take advantage of it.

    I echo cbs' comments on both Hakeem Hood and Kevin Brandt---outstanding!!!!
