MSA Cobras 12u Swenson

The Cobras are holding tryouts at their field behind Matthews Elementary school This Sunday, Aug 9th. at 5 PM.
This is the team that finished second in the "A" bracket at the AAU Nationals Nationals in the 10u division, they are moving to 12u next year and will play at the 12u level this fall.
The team is coached by Ole Swenson,
who I feel is one of the better coaches at this level, My DGD has played for him for three years, that should tell you a lot.

Raleigh Renegades Update

The Raleigh Renegades will be holding tryouts for 10u,12u,and 14U on Saturday, August 29 at Millbrook Exchange Park.

New South Carolina 16u exposure team for 2010

A new 16U team is forming in the Spartanburg area of South Carolina. This team will be focused on teaching fundamental softball and college exposure. This team will be based out of the southern Spartanburg area, so it will be convenient for any player in the upstate. This team will be dedicated to improving the players talent level. We are not limited to only potential college players but also players who are talented athletes and who want to improve their skills for high school.

Our focus will be to showcase the players to the in-state and surrounding area colleges, by choosing select high quality show case and exposure tournaments. Our intentions are not to travel across the country for the sake of traveling, but to play in front of as many SC coaches as possible. The majority of players in SC stay in state, so our emphasis will be more on in-state schools. Plans are to actively promote our players to the college of the player’s choice and to eventually line up games against college teams for more exposure. The coaching staff will be in contact with all SC colleges who offer softball, informing them of this new team and what this team is trying to accomplish. Parents will also be given information on what they can do and need to be doing to promote their daughter as well. Our philosophy is why travel the country if you want to play in state.

Practices will be fast paced and fundamentally sound, with a heavy emphasis on the proper mechanics of fielding, base running and hitting. The team does have experience in the recruiting process as well as the demands of a college athletes career.

OPEN TRYOUTS

The HEAT 14U team based out of Concord are moving up to 16U and in need of a couple solid players, all positions will be considered, consisting of '94 birthyears with some '95, and will consider '93 birthyears. We have a very busy fall schedule with 1 showcase tournament, and will play more showcase tournaments next spring. Tryouts will be this Thursday, August 6th, from 7 to 9pm and (DATE CHANGED) Sunday, Autust 9th, from 3 to 6pm. Lady Blues Fastpitch Organization

ATTENTION: The Lady Blues are having an "Open Tryout" for their two 18U and 16U teams. All players that attend will , based on their experience, abilities, and softball knowledge be considered for the 18U Elite team which attends Boulder, Dynamites, ASA Nationals, Rising Stars, Hot Times and New Jersey.
This fall we will have over 60 kids committed to play college softball since 2003 at schools throughout the southeast and northern US.
Our other 18U team will be playing local showcase tournaments in NC, SC, and Va, as well as competitive elimination events.
The 16U team will play some showcase events and attempt to qualify for ASA 16U Nationals.
The Lady Blues staff works hard to assist their players in improving their game and preparing for the rigors of college softball as well as guiding them through the recruiting process. Further, we are communicating with over a 100 college coaches on a regular basis to assist in selling our players talents and bring the coaches to the stage in which the Blues play! With six straight ASA National appearances, two straight 7th place finishes, 7th place finish at Dynamites, 17th place finish at Boulder last year (only NC team), and numerous players that have received all-conference honors in college, we provide you with the tools to succeed. Your talent and performance on the field and in the classroom provides the finishing touch.
We are seeking dedicated players that want to be part of a special group recognized nationally with a former WPSL allstar as a head coach, come see what the Blues can offer!

Date: August 16, 2009 from 2-5pm at Wingate University!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also will have an additional day the 23rd of August for interested players! Could use a power pitcher and a catcher as well as a speedy slapper!

Team TFS Organization

Team TFS will be hosting tryouts for 18u, 16u, and 14u teams on Saturday, August 22nd. The tryout will be located at Enloe High School. 18u and 16u will tryout starting at 11am and 14u at 3pm. More information about the location can be found at our website. All those that are interested, please email. Team TFS is based out of Raleigh, but we have access to practice locations in the Triangle and Triad. We have players that are committed and travel from all over NC and SC. The last 4 years, all players that have competed at 18u and chosen too, have gone on to play collegiate softball. Players have gone on to play NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and Junior College. The head coaches of our organization combined have over 30 years of experience at travel ball and college. We are also apart of The Fastpitch School (TFS). It is ran by Coach Michael Bastian who has over 20 years experience in Olympic level, international, and NCAA Division I softball. Coach Bastian comes to NC typically once a month to work with players one and one and in team clinic situations. Between Team TFS and TFS we have connections with many college coaches across the country. Team TFS 18u, 16u, and 14u will compete in regional showcases/tournaments as well as Colorado Fireworks, Rising Stars in Florida, and Surf City showcase in California.
