Couldn't agree more. Those stat sites are only good for building egos.

speaking of stats...........in the college ranks I noticed that last year NCSU had nobody batting over .300.

Mt. Pleasant will be good again this year but the new South Piedmont 8 conference should create a few more challenges. Should be a fun conference to watch.

    From What I remember

West Johnston with Lexi Bentancourt.. This kid has heart and game to boot!
Northern Vance with Jessica Rowland and many good sticks
Northwood with Carrie Webster should be impressive
Orange with McKenzie Creech, probably the most underrated in area outside of Kailey Farmer at Northern Durham.
Southern Vance with Jordan Garrett and lots of speed
North Moore with Kellie Davis, as good as they come
Richmond Co. with Maggie McKenzie should do well

The traditional powers will do great as well. I just thought I would throw some teams and names out there that don't get mentioned that much but they sure do bring it

Many more that I could mention but I don't want to hijack the thread. These were just teams and players that I have seen, and they left a good enough impression that I remembered their names.

As far as winning it all... Thats why we play... Its not always the best team that wins it. Its the best team on that day.

Most of the stats for N.C. Preps.com are confirmed by the high school coach. N.C. Preps ask for this information. If a player is voted All Conference, All District, All State or All Area..stats have to be confirmed to get the award. There is a lot of checks and balances when reporting stats to N.C. Prep.com. I don't think a high school coach would make up stats and post them if they weren't true , his reputation and job would be on the line.

:smilielol5:You have alot to learn about high school ball my friend. You better take off those rose colored glasses. Lots of politics, daddy stat keepers etc. Also in most conferences in high school you can really pad those stats against very weak competition so those stats do not tell the true story.

The coach probably isn't padding the stats, they are just reporting from the score book. What you have to realize is who is keeping score. Most of the time it is a parent or a player that is not sure what is the right way to put it in the book so they call it a hit. It has been said that a high school score book is the greatest piece of fiction ever wrote.

So, you know for a fact that coaches make up stats and post them on N.C.Preps.com...can you name a coach that has??? and would you be willing to quote that on the front page of the news paper ...if you can't then you need back up what you say....
