    Congratulations

to a good W Johnston team. Mooresville Legends had a great first season. Thank you to all of the players, parents, and coaches. It has been a joy to follow you all season. Second place in the state is a great accomplishment. Be safe driving home.

    Congrats to WJ

Checked their roster, this was NOT their Jr. team. None the same, they played well, executed and can flat out hit.

First of all, what a pleasure it was playing at the historic Durham Athletic Park. A first class facility with an outstanding playing field. Kudos to the Cary Bulls and all of their VOLUNTEERS for hosting the state tournament. From what I saw, each of the 8 teams involved were very talented and deserving of their berth in the tournament. We had to beat 4 great teams to earn this title (South Caldwell, Kernersville, Cary Bulls, and today Mooresville. The Legends gave it all they had, defeating S. Caldwell in the early game today before battling very gamely against us. My hat's off to them. Defeating the defending state champion is the way a title should be earned and we were able to do that.
We finished 28-3 on the year and YES, we were a real JUNIOR LEGION team. I've added our roster with graduation years.
Congrats again to all teams involved. I am proud to be the coach of such a great group of West Johnston kids. They all attend or will attend West Johnston HS. What a great ride they took my staff and I on this summer.

Congrats Coach Jake. What a ride.

I wasn't implying earlier you guys weren't a junior legion team if that was directed at me... I was just under the impression all of your guys played JV Ball this past spring and I was going to really be amazed. Either way, hats off to you guys and best of luck in the future to each of your kids.
