I have spoken with every team that was in it last year and they are out as far as I know. All the county teams have gone in with Fuquay and Middle Creek to do a round robin tournament. Hunt is definately out and Nash Central I think has tournament to go to. Towson Catholic is the only one I have not heard anything from.

Good Luck but it does not look good! With all the county teams at the new tournament or in the Bobby Murray and putting the recession into play, you are not going to get a lot of teams to travel. Wish I could help more but my hands are washed in it.

 

I lived in Knightdale in the late 80's/early 90's. This ain't got nothing to do with preps, and I apologize for that, but the last time I went back, it just was not the same. K'dale sea food had moved, and new subdivisions had popped up everywhere. A new HS??? Good luck Knightdale, I wish you the best...

 

GoDeep23? I won't even use this forum to express my opinion about the person who is rumored to have called all the teams to encourage them NOT to play. This BOARD is for the GOOD of all baseball players....and I will continue to do my part to help...not hinder.

...hey macadoo my buddy! hope you're doing well. yes Knightdale has changed bigtime over the last 30 years. as for the Knightdale Easter tournament, i can tell you 4 things...1. The AD, Guy Blough, is one of the most sincere, hardworking for the kids men that I've ever known.
2. You can bet your bottom dollar that Knightdale HS fields will be "photo worthy"! The place is awesome. Thanks to Coach Blough.
3. YES, and I mean a big YES the economy sucks and the longtime Bobby Murray tournament ( my Dad started that gig ) and the tourn. in Fuquay are both valuable places for the kids to play.
4. Teams attending the KHS tournament will leave there as happy campers. Been there done that.

I am not trying to down-grade or put down anyone on this board. I am for the same thing. No one for the school has contacted me to see what I know. I know you (cbsconsult) are involved with the program and wanted to get someone the message so they can narrow the list. I apologize if I did that but I think if anyone reads the message for the right reasons, they will see I was trying to help.

 

I read your post as trying to give feedback. I don't think CBS took it as "kill the messenger." I read it as cbs had heard some stories.....

 

Well, you read it as everyone else did. Maybe CBS is the one airing grievences on a TBR and not I. He can PM me if he has grievences to air and not air them on a public board.
