    watauga - w charlotte

Congratulations to Watauga on a fine season. Too bad they can't have that second quarter back.

Congrats to W Charlotte on a solid victory in the snowy surrounds of Boone. Terrell is a physical specimen, and one of the best high school shooters I have ever seen. Like a lot of high school stars, he has some growing up to do and will have to learn what defense is before he gets off Wake's bench. Watauga's center, Koppenhaver, came alive with his most aggressive game to date, 24 pts and 10 rebs. W. Charlotte will have to learn to fight through picks soon or will likely exit in one of the next two games.

Watauga loses 3 seniors (2 of them season-long starters) but returns three great starters and a solid bench next year. Quinn, Edwards, and Koppenhaver should be fun to watch as seniors. They sure were as juniors (and sophs).
