    Deadline?

Once the season gets started, coaches are asked to have their team information and votes in to our website by 6 pm on Sunday night prior to the polls coming out on Tuesday. That gives the committee time to tally and produce the poll for the next week.

    Polls

There haven't been many games played in the piedmont due to weather and schools being closed. Guilford County has been hit hard this week and west of interstate 85 has had really bad weather. The polls should be put off a week. It won't be an accurate reading.

If they haven't played a game yet then there shouldn't be a negative impact on them. But for the teams that have played it may put them insight of the polls if not in them. I don't think the polls should be put off for a week. If the weather isn't good next week and games are cancelled should they be put off for an additional week again?? NO

    Poll

LOL...yes, I would think so since your only guessing..anyone can guess..sounds like a pre- season poll if anything and we have already had that one posted...not much of a poll if most have not played.

Not sure what I was guessing at?????

I was mearly pointing out the fact that some teams have played and based on there performance they could be put in the poll or get a honorable mention. Where is the problem with that?

    Week 1 Poll

The NCSCA Top Ten can be viewed at the Association website. Not a lot of movement as of yet. It is early, but some teams did receive votes and were rewarded with an honorable mention. I am sure as more games are played, the shake up will start in all 4 classifications. Association members are reminded to get their votes in to the website by 6 pm on Sunday night to give the poll committee time to tally and produce. Thanks to all who voted last week!

    Interesting

Here is something interesting to ponder with regard to rankings after just the first week. In preseason poll, North Meck (definitely an outstanding team) was ranked #6 in 4A, beat Ardrey Kell, then lost to NW Cabarrus. North Meck only drops one spot to 7th, and NW Cabarrus doesn't even show up as an Honorable Mention in the 3A poll. NWC should at least get an HM vote. JMO
