Kannapolis has a strong JR class, you probably haven't heard of a few because 3 or 4 were back and forth between JV/Varsity the past 2 years. Here's some JR's to keep an eye on.
    1) Dylan May P/CF - Everyone knows already.
    2) Zach Wright C/P/3B - Big guy with big arm behind the plate. Will get relief work as well. Closer attitude!
    3) Justin Kidd IF/P - Side-arm pitcher that is back from "tendonitis", could see 1st relief action Tuesday against Robinson. Should get lot's of relief work.
    4) Ryan Blackmon C/P - 3rd starter in rotation and great C also, threw out 2 baserunners @ Providence.
    5) Zach Jones OF/P - Great in OF and relief work.
    6) Alex Brandon 1B/P - Came in and worked 2 innings against Parkwood, allowed 1 hit.
    7) Quin Gill OF - Fooball player (safety) has great speed and gets most playing time in RF.
    8) Tyler Freeze 1B/P - Could get some time at 1B.
May, Kidd, Blackmon, Jones and Brandon all played for the "Kannapolis Hulks" AAU/USSSA 2002-2004. They all played at "Elite" levels in travel baseball until or during High School. The coaching "philosopy" at Kannapolis is to go with upperclassmen. (Although May has started on Varsity since his Freshman year.) Wright, Blackmon, Kidd, Jones and Gill all have lot's of Varsity experience. But due to lack of players on the JV roster, some of these kid's were held back, so we could even field a JV team.
