....well I guess its hard to argue that Childers foot is not dragging, BUT, its very close to the ground and given the fact that theres all kinds of ruts, etc. in the circle, well I just see this pic as an outstanding pitcher and even a better kid.
The illegal pitches that are being called atleast from I've seen this year are for not toeing the rubber with your stepping foot.
The one thing that kills me is the blatant disregard for stepping off the rubber, replanting and then delivering the pitch. Next would be a disregard for stepping out of the pithers lane.

Lastly, and I know the umps can't call everything, and I don't expect them to, but the slappers are given free run out of the box and the pitchers are getting bigtime help for strikes 6 inches or more off the plate.

I'll say this though, for sure the umps have been consistent and called the same both ways, so you can't argue with that. If the call for strikes are off the plate then protect the plate, certainly with 2 strikes.
