    How many teams qualify for the playoffs? Still 4 like we had before Heritage was added or has it now gone up to 5 teams? Looks like you have six teams fighting to get in. Should be some nailing biting games down the stretch.

    CAP8 - Five Teams in Playoffs

    Piratefan18, according to the preliminary playoff brackets posted at the NCHSAA website (see link above) there will be 5 teams from the CAP8 going to the playoffs, and the CAP8 #5 seed will be rewarded with facing the Tri-9 #1 seed (Holly Springs and C Rodon?) in the first round. :cry:

    Leesville over Wilmington Hoggard 19-5
    Leesville over Wilmington Laney 17-1
    Holly Springs over Sanderson 10-3
    Ragsdale over Wakefield 9-7
    Person over Wake Forest-Rolesville 4-1

    Broughton over St. Davids 9-5

    Leesville Rd over Ashley 9-5 in championship game of Coastal Athletics Spring Break Tournament in Wilmington. Leesville is a very talented team, hit well throughout their lineup, and were very solid defensively. The Berrios kid at shortstop showed off the hose numerouse times.

    I believe it is Austin that normally plays shortstop.

    Correction...Broughton 9-6 over St. David's...The Capitals had to fight back from a 4-0 deficit in the fourth inning.

    My husband and I have been around baseball for a while, but "showing off the hose" is one we never heard before............sounds nasty..:clapclap:
