Pirates, I didn't say playing for some of those teams doesn't make you better. Micah went from SCP to Impact, two top programs. My point was overnight he did not change. Obviously over time he will continue to improve an already good game. I purposely did not compare Micah to anyone by name. If you go back and read them my comments were positive. I would agree playing for some showcase programs can help a player. It has helped my son in certain areas.

    Back to 2011 kids.

Sawyer Highfill, Grimsley HS. Primarily outfielder.

Josh Tobias, Southeast Guilford. Pitch, infield. You'll definitely hear more from this kid.

    Mooresville High School

Jake Beaver (3B) - Left handed power hitter. One of the best I have ever seen. Possibly DH on Varsity, but if not look out JV squad. This kid can hit as good as anyone I have seen

Keith Little (LHP) - Late bloomer. Tall lanky left hander, quick learner and has the pop. Low - mid 80's right now with good breaking ball and great move to 1st.

Josh Skidmore (SS) - Crafty, and makes the routine plays for outs. As good as they get

Very talented player. In my opinion, the type of player that has "made" himself what he has become at such an early age. Humble, Hard Nosed, competitor! Led Eastern Randolph Legion team in hitting this past summer. Durable - played every inning this past summer as well. He brings the same level of effort and intensity every night. At this stage of his game, and in my opinion, he is not as polished as he will be in the infield, but he makes plays. He is however, advanced beyond his years at the plate. The kid can swing it and his approach is solid.

JTbaseball you are so right about Josh. I have coach against Josh since he was a little one. The thing josh could do was flat out mash a baseball. It is no surprise to me that he is doing the same thing in High School. Another one of the 2011 class that all of us who loves baseball get to watch for three more years in high school.I don't know what conference his school is in but the conference coaches will enjoy watching him hit and be glad when he leaves.

Pirates05, last year Josh attended Southeast Guilford. I don't know what conference we are in but its 3AA, Ragsdale, Eastern Randolph, Asheboro, Trinity, SW Randolph, SE Guilford, Randleman. I think that is it. Conference gets broken up next year as Ragsdale goes to 4A, ER to 2A and I don't know who else goes where.

Josh was a good player last year as a freshman. A friend of mine is an asst. coach there and speaks highly of Josh. He has worked hard on his game.
