    Lollie.......what is your point?

Are these names of young men you think should be on the Observer's list? If so, who comes off?

I can suggest some to be removed.
Should we start a new thread?

I don't know if I would take any of those kids off. The four i mentioned are kids i've seen play and know when you take into account ability, strength of schedule, defense, on base % and any pitching stats pertaining to Brody, they would stack up well. The three teams have great stats but, what I can't figure is if the players were refereed by coaches with stats provided or based on reliable Mecklenberg sources.

You know, I have never participated in the whole Langston bias towards Providence and AK and the like. I actually think for the most part, the areas south of charlotte play the best baseball in the area and deserve the respect.
However..........these selections give those who complain a lot of ammunition. There are 3 Providence players on here and not one statistic is given. What was Buttrey's W/L and ERA ? What did Herbert and McClatchie hit ? It would be nice to know what the facts behind their selection are.

    Glaringly absent, come on man!

If Logan Koch isn't one of the best in the area, this list has no credibility.

(if it ever had a chance at having any in the first place)

I just had to respond to potato salad on this one....

    From Kandahar............
Young Logan can play, but his positive impact on his team is way down from last year. He might have had the fourth best performance this year compared to his team mates. Just for one.........his Avg. with RISP was under .100.
Tater, check your facts before you post such jibberish. Or change your handle to mashedtater.

Too sandy over here. Can't wait to get back to my normal spot down first base line with the girls. Go...................SW4A

Sophomore Drew Loepprich of Charlotte Country Day is on third team as an outfielder. I would be surprised if he played an inning in the outfield. He is an outstanding pitcher with great mound presence and is tough as nails. Good sharp breaking ball and has good velocity and he projects well for the next level. He had a terrific season and was undefeated for most of the season and is worthy of his third team mention, but I am almost certain that he is a pitcher only at Country Day, so that makes his selection as an outfielder a head-scratcher, but we are dealing with the Charlotte Observer....
