looking for a 18u pitcher and infielder to round out the squad.

    To whom it may concern:
We are pleased to announce an 18U girls fast pitch softball team being formed in Gaston County. The team will be comprised of girls from a couple of 18U teams that were dissolved. We are looking for a few more girls to complete the roster that love the game of softball and want to have fun and become better players. Practice fields at Ashbrook and East Gaston high schools have been acquired. We will play in a variety of tournaments (ASA, NSA, AAU, etc.) depending on which tournament fits best into everyone’s schedule.
We are also pleased to announce that Lauren Levin has agreed to coach our team. Lauren is a recent graduate of Winthrop University where she played 4 years of division I softball. Lauren loves the game of softball and is excited to help our girls reach their softball goals whether that be just playing for fun or playing college softball.
We will be conducting a workout/tryout session on Saturday February 4th 11:00am at Ashbrook High School (2222 South New Hope Rd. Gastonia, NC 28054). In the event of inclement weather the workout/tryout will be held on Sunday February 5th 2:00pm at Ashbrook. Please join us for this opportunity to meet Lauren, display your skills, and learn more about our new team. If you are interested in this exciting opportunity but are unable to attend the workout/tryout on February 4th please contact me via email or the cell phone number listed below.

    Thank you,

    Hurricanes Elite Camp

The Hurricanes Elite organization is hosting a skills camp on February 18th 2012 for 10u, 12u, 14u players, with an optional tryout for our 99' 14u team, if interested. We will have our Elite Showcase girls interacting and assisting with the camp. Teaching the skills that are needed to compete at the highest competitive level. If you are interested in making the next step in your softball career, come out and learn from our highly respected and known coaching staff and ball players. We have a talented group of girls in our 14u ( our current 14u is playing in the Spring and is moving up to our Elite Gold Showcase team in the Fall), and our Elite Showcase team from all around Central and Eastern NC, that competes at the Elite level. The Hurricanes Elite has sent all of our past and present graduates to play ball in D1, D2, and D3 Colleges and Universities. The Camp will be held at Pleasant Garden Community Center, 4200 Alliance Church Road, Pleasant Garden NC 27313. Cost of the camp is $40 for early registration, and $45 for day of camp. Don't hesitate, reserve your spot now. Contact Keith Edgerton at [email protected] or Randy Morrison at [email protected], and we can email you a registration form. We hope to see you there.

I just went to one of Crystals clinics, if you are a coach or parent and want to understand hitting as is related to the female fastpitch athelete I would highly recommend you make plans to attend this event. I have been to many clinics and heard many coaches and so called experts give their views or advice on htting and this was the best by far. :fan_wave2:
