Lake Norman Lightning expanding our 14U team (revised)

The Lake Norman Lightning is holding tryouts for our expanding organization based in Huntersville, NC. Our current 14U '01 Red Team / Morgan is holding tryouts for highly competitive players looking to advance their softball skillset. This is a very successful organization led by Tommy Strahan, and we are looking forward to continuing that success this year with all our teams. The Red Team is currently associated with NSA, and Top Gun, and soon ASA. We have girls from all the areas surrounding Charlotte & upstate South Carolina.

The most important element we are looking for in recruiting players is "TEAM" attitude & mindset. Tryouts can be at our team practice or private workouts are also available.

Our 14U Team is looking to add the right '02/'03 players for the remainder of the 2016 summer/fall season and moving forward. We are in need of a pitcher(s), fast outfielders, and utility player(s). We prefer players with the goal to master at least 2 positions on the field (ex. infield base position & outfield position, pitcher/catcher & infield, pitcher/catcher & outfield, etc.) The pitcher needs to have control of 3-4 pitches and be able to hit her spots, be very competitive and have a solid defensive glove. Fielders & utility players needs to have speed, be aggressive, and have a strong and accurate arm. We are looking for strong bats. We can develop girls into stronger players through our training. We are looking for girls that have a passion and desire to play at the next level.

We look to develop young women into leaders in the classroom, in their schools, in their communities, and on the softball field for both their school team & LKN Lightning.

During the off-season, we continue our workouts in our Weight Room & with CrossFit where we focus on developing speed, strength, and agility.

Looking for 16u Guest Players for East Coast Fireworks

Due to injuries and some girls doing camps we need some guest players for the East Coast Fireworks this week in Rock Hill. We need a Pitcher and corner players. Also could stand a SS on Thursday.We are in a really good pool and have good fields and times.

Carolina Mash/Bullock

Carolina Mash/Bullock, seeking 2004 birthdays to form a new 12u team. This is an opportunity for all players to learn the fundamentals of the game as they are instructed at the highest levels of the game, absolutely no daddy or mommy ball. Coach has 15 years experience, ACE level 4 certified, coach has attended numerous clinics, on all aspects of the game. This is for players and families who are committed to the development of the players. Tryouts will begin soon, right now I am conducting individual tryouts. Tryouts and practices will be in Oxford/Henderson area, we do have an indoor facility available for off season workouts. This team is being built for players and families who are committed to working hard and developing their skill level to its maximum, current skill level is not nearly as important as the will to improve that skill. I am also interested in looking at strong 2005 birthdays as well. The hope is to have the roster established by late July and begin play in early Septemeber, 6-7 tournaments this Fall, followed by off season workouts which players will be expected to attend, a short break for the holidays and back to work in preparation for Spring play in late March or early April. I am also interested in talking with 2003 parents as a possible alternate route to developing the team for 2017, 2003's would need to be strong players, pitchers catchers and middle infielders primarily, howevver a strong bat is always worth a look. TRYOUTS!

The Team NC organization continues to grow and has had an incredibly successful 2016 spring/summer season. Our 10U, 12U, 16U & 18U teams captured the ASA State Championship titles this year and our 14U team earned the NSA State Championship Title. Four of our teams will be traveling to and competing in Nationals tournaments this summer.
For the 2016-2017 Season we will be handling our tryouts differently than in the past.
