2A NCISAA Playoffs

    Hickory Grove Lions have pulled to a 1-0 lead, in a best of 3 series, against Calvalry Baptist in the 2A Private School Leauge State Championship. The final score to the first game was 9-1. The winning pitcher was Chris Saunders, with 7 Ks, and only 5 hits. The bats came alive with every player on the starting nine getting at least one hit. Zack Dunn was 1 for 2 w/ 2 RBIs, Charlie Thacker was 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs, Ryan Jennings was 3 for 4 w/ a double and triple, Joseph Tart was 2 for 4 w/ 2 doubles and 2 RBIs, and Mark Brown was 2 for 4 w/ 1 RBI. Game #2 is tommorow at 11:00 at Kinston, NC. [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Congrats to Chris and Ryan

    Good job fellas. Not only did you two take care of business on the bump but you guys were raking at the plate as well. Two first class young men that come from outstanding families. They've also earned all state honors to go along with their state championship. Sutigers told me both of you ended up with 9 HR's a piece. I got nothing but luv for ya both. We are extremely proud of you both.:trophy: :thud: :woohoo: :woot:
