    Watch out for the Eastern Plains Conference:

    The Eastern Plains was very competitive this year. Greene Central, Kinston, Farmville, & Tarboro might make some noise. East Bladen-Kinston in the 1st round looks like a good game right off the bat. Wade Dog better prepare the troops. North Brunswick, another Waccamaw entry looks tough as well.

    Greene Central 22 Warren County 0
    Kinston 5 East Bladen 4
    Farmville Central 6 Holmes 4

    Tarboro, the leagues #4 seed is eliminated by South Lenoir 11-1.

    That tough-looking North Brunswick team from the Waccamaw conference was upset by Croatan 4-3.

    Nice start by the Three Rivers 2-A Champion. Hoping they can improve on their run from last season when they reached the regional finals before losing to a strong McMichael team.
