Wossa,,,, thanks for sharing that newspaper article. Too bad about the miscommunication and I hate it for the WS players,,,, unfortunately for them they can't say much because all the other teams got it right. Its just unfortunate. I don't know much about the Northern Division teams, you just never like to see "crazy stuff" come into play and prevent the best teams from advancing. Hopefully WS & Randolph will settle the rest of the series on the field.

Burke Co. defeated Gaston 7-4 in game one tonight to take a 1-0 series lead.
Look out for Burke Co. to be a sleeper in the playoffs this yr. Team is playing great baseball in the playoffs and have a great shot of upsetting the #1 seed from the east. This team has really come together as a team under hall of fame coach Ron Swink, who took over for Blaine Mull early in the season after Coach Mull decided to resign to spend more time with his two young sons. Congrats to Burke and welcome back Coach Swink...good luck in the rest of the playoffs.

    Rowan County-5 over Kannapolis-1

Lee Dupree pitched a great game for Rowan County tonight shutting down the Kannapolis bats. Garrett Sherrill pitched well in the loss, but Rowan just came to play tonight. I think everyone knew this would be a great series, so we'll just strap'em back up and try it again tomorrow night. Btw, nuther tremendous crowd at Rowan County tonight,,,, the fans are definitely coming out for this series.

Game 3 Sunday: Rowan County (23-8) at Kannapolis (23-6)

    Series now tied 1-1
