    The 3A East is wide open this year. I expect alot of very close games thru-out the bracket. You could very well end up with Wilson Hunt & Chapel Hill right back in the finals again. But, If I had to pick a team to win the eastern side, it would be D.H. Conley. I think they're playing the best baseball right now. I agree w/ Stretchy that the potential 3rd round matchup between Hunt & Conley will be a classic playoff nail-biter, and I expect both teams will make it there, but not without some trouble. For Rocky mount to go far, they have got to find some scoring. Benton Moss will give the Gryphons a chance to win any game he pitches in, but they've got to produce some offense to go along with it. And what happens when he isn't on the mound? Two teams I thought would be real competitive & dangerous this year were Nash Central & Southern Wayne so Jacksonville & Conley better watch their step, but I believe the Coastal teams will prevail at home. Wilson Hunt owns regular season victories over Aycock, Eastern Wayne, Conley, N. Lenoir, Rocky Mount, and others in the upper bracket, so they can certainly make it back to the finals. I'm hearing the Brunswick County teams are down this year, but West Brunswick is a hard team to beat at home. In the lower bracket, NE Guilford, Southern Lee, Chapel Hill, and Eastern Alamance look strong to me. I believe Chapel Hill will once-again emerge from this side of the east. Don't know a thing about NE Guilford, but they've only lost 1 game. They must be pretty good. There's going to be alot of good, close, games in the east, that's for sure.

    I agree with u. DH is playing the best ball right now.


    couple good first rounders with SW and DH, Jax and NC, aycock WC, NL and WB Hertford and RM this is my upset pick because RM offense isn't that good and they need to ride Moss or Hertford's pitcher could take them down
