    South vs. Reynolds

    Tomorrow night at South Caldwell

I would imagine that it will be Madison Bumgarner vs. Sam Runion

    Put your thoughts here

Also, Roll Call.....who all is going?

The game doesn't officially start until 6:30 following the JV game that preceeds it that starts at 4:30. With that said I've spoken to quite a few people who are going to arrive by 3:30 so they can get good seats. They did add a few extra bleachers this year so that should help some with seating. Last year when these 2 teams played there were people lined up from homeplate all the way to the concession stand.

    Arrival

What time should one arrive for the game to get a seat? With school not dismissing untill around 3pm or so, what time would they start letting people in? Also, you need to think about the parking situation.

How many extra bleachers did they add?

I would imagine that by 3:30 they would allow people through the gates since the JV game starts promptly at 4:30. My main concern on getting a good seat is due to the large number of scouts that are supposedly going to be in attendence. I don't work at the school so I don't have any insite into what may happen. I'm thinking they may possibly rope off a section directly behind homeplate for all the scouts to use their radar guns. I know when I was up at West Caldwell a few weeks ago and Madison was pitching there must have been 15-20 scouts with radar guns all sitting directly behind homeplate and I imagine there will be many more tomorrow.

At the start of the season this year they did add 1 set of bleachers on each side of the press box. I would recommend that you bring a foldup chair for sure. They have also done alot of work during the offseason to improve the field and ballpark.

I wouldn't worry about parking although you may have a good walk so take comfortable shoes. They also have very good food this year .... I highly recommend the hamburgers and hotdogs so you can save time by eating at the ballpark.

The game is at the high school correct? And not at the legion/middle school field?

Matrix, yes the game is at South Caldwell HS so there will not be as much seating capacity as would be available at Granite Falls Middle School where Caldwell County Post 29 plays their games. So everyone needs to get there early.

Thanks for all the info jccunc1.

I figured there would be a little more chatter about this game since is a pretty big game and most likely a big pitching match-up.

Anyone coming in from out of town may want to pick up today's local Lenoir News-Topic paper which has a very good writeup regarding the Spartans baseball team.

Yeah, I kinda thought so too, but this year I believe the ACR fans are hoping to win while the SC fans are expecting to win. I wish this wasn't the case because San Runion can beat anybody. It should be a very good game.

However, there appears to be BIG games everywhere today.
