Think outside the box , Stretchy.

Send a 6-man crew to the 4th place game too. That way 12 umpires will have some work. Or at least send 1 to flip the official coin.(lol) You know, the way this economy is, we need to look after all the officials.:REGamblMoney01HL2:

Just for history's sake, in 2007 the NEW 6 #4 seed upset South Johnston in the 1st round of the state playoffs. You never know.

    NEW 6 Tiebreaker Game: Tonight!

The NEW 6 tiebreaker game is tonight ( weather permitting).
    1. Rocky Mount 9-1 18-2
    1. Northern Nash 9-1 14-6

    Both teams traded 2-0 wins.

Game will be held @ Northern Nash (7:00 pm)

At stake is the #1 seed in the upper part of the 3A bracket.
Winner is guaranteed 2 home playoff games.
Loser will get 1 opening round home game & then may have to travel possibly for the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th rounds.(depending on who wins other games)

    Both teams are playing well.
Northern Nash is much improved from the beginning of the season.

Just my opinion: Both teams are going to do very well no matter where they fall in the brackets. Rocky Mount won the state championship last year as the #2 seed & they can surely do it again. The winner is looking at a possible 3rd round match-up with Eastern Wayne, but that would've happened anyway eventually. Because of pitching, I favor Rocky Mount or Northern Nash over Eastern Wayne anyway. Rocky Mount's 1-2 punch of Hobbs Johnson & Benton Moss makes them a hard team to score runs against in the playoffs & I feel they are better equipped to make a long playoff run than Northern Nash.

    SPC

    Marvin Ridge 15-0, 19-3
    Anson 10-5, ?-?
    Piedmont 9-6, 12-9
    Porter Ridge 8-8, 11-11
    Hickory Ridge 7-8, 9-10
    Sun Valley 7-9, 10-11
    Concord 7-9, 10-12-1
    AL Brown 5-11, 5-17
    Parkwood 2-14, 4-17

Could have a tie for second and a tie for fifth after tonight, which tiebreakers may not settle. Could go to a draw for #2 and #5
