I predict Kannapolis has the best chance to win the conference tournament.

I'm predicting that you will be wrong. NWC pitching is far superior to K-Town's.

k-town dose have a pretty good chance to win the conference tournament.....the pitching is right there with nwc....they only gave up 3 hits i believe to nwc this past wed. night. and k-town threw a soph.nwc has at most 4 pitchers that can be effective,k-town has 6 that can start and give 5 or more innings against any team and petty to come in and close the door. i dont think nwc has that luxery

Budman, NWC pitching wasnt even close to Kannapolis pitching in the championship game the other night was it.. Although the score was 2-0 . NWC got runs from errors. Kannapolis out hit NWC 7-3 i think and pounded the ball all night. NWC made some great plays in the outfield. I would say you owe the centerfielder alot of kudo's for making that catch in the 7th inning , and you might want to thank the umpire that gave you a free out in the 5th or 6th, even though we never know what could have happened if he makes the correct call.
Now i congratulate NWC on winning , but Kannapolis isnt done yet, and i wouldnt count WR out either.

Come on guys ya'll sound like a bunch of sore grapes.....Don't let that game the other night go to your heads....If your pitching is so good (your conferance record doesn't indicate it ) 5-5 I believe. Where has it been all year!! If you don't beat Mooresville Tuesday then thats what you are going to have to do to make the state is win the the TOURNEY...Thats a long shot...I'll take bets on that.. K-town had 6 hits and three of those were blups coach...Lets face it we have what ya'll had last year..PITCHING.. Zach Ward is who beat us last year.. Wufman is the only Wonder fan that gives credit wheres credit due.. And coach talking about our defense thats what wins games the other 8 men on the field. Its nice knowing you have a defense behind you. You need to concentrate on K-Town and quit dogging the Trojans.;)

You can believe what you want to believe , thats OK ..

Bloops are still hits i think.. You scored your runs on errors .. What difference does it make.
Dont try to make it out that you guys whipped our asses the other night. The players no better.
No one has sore grapes or whatever you called them. NWC won , we give you that , but you never controlled that game.
You might better go look at who we lost to and when we lost this year.
This isnt the same team. Ask your coach and go ask West Rowan and Piedmont lately how good Ktown has become.

    Why do i respond ?

I believe you started this thread...Yes K-town has improved but you can't beat someone 14-6 all the time...get real coach and let it rest... YesI saw piedmont this week also...They looked a little weak to me..

I'd have to agree that Kannapolis is the most improved team in the conference but......maybe they had the most improvements to make. Early in the season they were a little inconsistant(typical of a young/less experienced team) but they have made some impressive improvements through out the season. Now they are a legitimate threat to beat anybody in the conference. They're the type of team that you really hate to have to play a third time, especially in a one and out tournament.
Northwest is the team with the most experience in the conference and arguably the best pitcher in the conference in Lucas Dalton. They can beat just about anybody with him on the mound, but I saw him pitch lately and he didn't look as sharp to me as he had looked earlier. Maybe he had a bad day or maybe the season is starting to wear on him, but I'm sure his teammates are still confident with him on the bump. Northwest has had a few games that they had to come from behind or just got by in that I'm not completely convinced that they would have won without him. They have other pitchers that can get the job done, but they're not on Dalton's level, at least not yet.
Mooresville is another team that will have to be delt with. They have 2 good pitchers in Tyler Lacky and Josh Haire and have played close games with all of the top teams in the conference.
West Rowan has 2 good pitchers in Patrick Adams and Paul Link, who had to carry a heavy load for West early when the bats were still trying to wake up. West is hitting the ball much better these days as a team and will likely make some noise in the tournament.
Let's face it we're in as tough a conference as any in the state. Anybody has a chance in a single elimination tournament. The tournament venue could have as much to do with it as anything in that it may dictate who will pitch to who on what night. Anyway, things could get real interesting in the next two weeks and the conference tournament should be fun to watch. Good luck to all kids for a safe and successful finish of the season.
