I know Smithfield Selma is the #1 seed out of the Big Eight.

But, what are the conferences other 3 (2-4) births looking like?

Also, what is going on in the Eastern Carolina conference??

Just looking for some standings, etc??

And, for anyone who knows, who is Smithfield Selma playing in the upcoming week and where are the playing at??

    Any information is appreciated!

I posted this under my "Playoff Projections" out of the east in 3A.

In the Big Eight, the best I can tell, it's going to be:
    Smithfield-Selma
    Hunt
    Harnett Central
    Clayton or Fike

SSS is running away with it and everyone else is pretty bunched up.

CB Aycock is in the same shape as SSS. They are thoroughly dominating the Eastern Carolina Conference.

My best guess from a distance:
    East Wayne
    West Craven

We seriously need some posters from this area.....

Last week in the Eastern Carolina 3A, E.Wayne and Kinston were tied for 2nd. Somebody said Kinston had won like 8 straight. Not sure, but I think W.Craven may be #4 by default. Washington, S.Wayne and W.Carteret have all struggled in the league (though W.Carteret won a few league games the other week and has been posting competitive scores).

As for the Big Eight (though my heart is often in Wilson) it seems very far away for any real attention -- Region 2 is more my cup of tea.

Talking to a source in the Eastern Carolina last night, sounds like with games left to play that several team could claim that 4th spot. Teams like W.Carteret, S.Wayne, W.Craven and even Washington all seem to be in that 3-7/4-8 category. Looks like we'll know more next week.

With the W.Craven win over Aycock and E.Wayne/Kinston coming on as of late -- we currently have a tie for 1st in the Eastern Carolinal 3A b/t Aycock and E.Wayne both at 10-2. Kinston is a half game back.

E.Wayne @ Aycock Tue. and Aycock @ Kinston Wed (among other conf contests still to play).
