    St. Stephens 3 - 0 over Enka

St. Stephens brought a very good ballclub to Enka today and the game against North Buncombe to decide who goes to Raleigh should be an excellent game.

St. Stephens pitcher kept Enka hitters off balance all night and they made timely hits and played solid defense.

Congratulations to St. Stephens, they are a quality team.

    EnkaJet--Thanks for the nice message!

St. Stephens will play North Buncombe now at SSHS on Friday and I'm unsure on the time so I will leave it on here when we know! Come out and support the Indians!

    North Buncombe 1 - RS Central 0 (8)
The RSC pitcher, Gilbert, was extremely sharp. She had great speed and location. It took a rare wild pitch on a swinging strike out, an error, two intentional walks and then a base hit by Bush with the bases loaded, one out and the infield in, to get the win in the bottom of the 8th for NB. A great pitchers duel and an exciting win for NB.
Ali Manns kept the RSC off balance and threw an 8 inning no-hitter for the Lady Black Hawks. An error in the first inning resulted in RSC's only baserunner.

    Cometfan................

did you get a chance to see this game? Hope to see you at St Stephens on Friday @ 5pm before you head to the rock hill tournament! Two great teams and ask a love one, if she remembers her trip to Hickory this year?;) Thanks for your support, reporting NC softball news/scores/stats to our softball network and you are a true and knowledgable supporter/teacher of the game. Thanks for your family of educators/coaches and not to mention the Players you have graciously provided to NC Softball!

I did see the West Rowan vs Jay M Robinson game. Very good game that could have went either way. Devin Williams was on the mound for WR. She also scored the winning run. Kristy Kilough (sp) was the pitcher for JMR. JMR just couldn't get the hit when they needed it. This game was played in an hour.

I will be traveling to Robbins NC today to watch Cherryville vs North Moore game.

I'm undecided about the game on Friday. Either SSHS or the Central Cabarrus game.

BTW: I did see St Stevens vs TCR + RS Central vs Ashbrook + Myers Park vs South Caldwell last Saturday.
