Finally a break for Tuscola...

After last night's game with East Rowan was called due to weather around 8:30pm, the Tuscola players got back on their bus, but they didn't have to drive all the way back to Waynesville this time. No, this time they actually stayed in a motel in Statesville, which is prob only 30 mins from Salisbury. Don't know who sprung for the bill, but great news for them.

Game 2 scheduled today at 2pm,,,,,,,, Game 3 if necessary will start approx 1 hour afterward.

East Rowan currently leading series 1-0.

 

Hunt-Chapel Hill: game 3

Hunt 1st:
McKenna starts on the mound for Chapel hill.
McKenna walks 2 in a row, & then Kyle Pittman mashes a 3-run homer to put Hunt up 3-0. Pitching change: Last night's winner for Chapel Hill, Tuc Fisher now comes back in. Fisher shuts Hunt down the rest of the way.

Lee Gilliam leads off with a single. Passanante K's. 1 out. Single by Cam Visser. Runners on the corners now. A Chad Fisher groundout scores Gilliam. 2 outs. Throwing error by Britt allows Romaine to reach base. Holy cow! Check-swing strike-out by Parks. Ball goes to the backstop. Error by the 1st baseman on the throw by the catcher. another run scores. Fisher grounds out.

With 2 outs, Zach Houchins singles to left field. Moves to second on a passed ball. Kyle Pittman flys out for out #3. Chapel Hill coming up.
