    Weddington 9 South Rowan 0

    Weddington got the bats rolling and jumped into an early lead.
    Sean Collins gets the win even though he struggled with command.
    9 S. Rowan players reached in first 4 innings on no hits.
    David Pope did a great job closing out the last 3 innings with 2 hits no runs.

    Weddington advances to play N. Buncombe who won 5-1 over Forestview tonight

    Rbi's coming from 4 different players for Weddington.
    Schellhorn 4 (3-3)
    Knight 2 (3-3)
    Bostic 2 (1-2 triple)
    Simpson 1 (2-3)
    Connor Newton hits another double for 9 on the year.

    While Collins did not have his best stuff, he surrendered no hits and had 4k's. Staying strong when you don't have your best is a lesson best learned early. If you don't score when he is off.....you most likely will not when he is on!

    Great game for Weddington!!! Good contribution by many players. But 1down22go forgot to give credit to Daniel Calabretta who went 2-3 with a single and double. His speed on the base paths contributed for two runs. congratulations to the team. Good luck in the next round. Stay loose.
