    Dudley 13 Ragsdale 7

Another great ball game. Another great crowd.

Dudley deserves all the credit for the win tonight. They out coached, out schemed, out executed and out played Ragsdale tonight. Dudley defense was the truth tonight. They shut out the Tiger offense, They had us covered like a blanket most of the game and laid some big hits. Knocked out our return man and starting corner on a brutal hit on a punt return. That really hurt our D - Armwood is a good tackler and they missed him on a few plays.

Dudley did what you knew they were going to do. They ran right at us and passed just enough in the first half when they had to. And Ragsdale didn't help themselves much tonight. Three fourth quarter interceptions is never a good thing.

Dudley gave them a break on the first posession of the game when the snap went over Bryant's head on a punt. But Ragsdale didn't capitalize. Dudley then went on an 80 yard drive to take a 7-0 lead in the first.

Ragsdale offense was stagnant just about the whole game. Heavner was under some pressure but not enough to warrant the conservative play calling. Ragsdale finally moved the ball on Dudley went D-onovan Smith bounced one off tackle for about 45 yards down inside the Dudley 20 but Ragsdale fumbled on the next play and Dudley got the ball back. It looked like Dudley might take the lead into half but Billy Stone made a great break on a pass over the middle on third and long and returned it abut 50 yards for the TD to tie it at the half.

Neither team did much with the ball in the third as both defenses dominated. Dudley was moving the early in the fourth but Michael Lecompte stopped a drive with an interception at the one. Ragsdale was able to move the ball away from the goal line but David Amerson made them pay with an interception that he returned to the one. Dudley fumbled on first down and lost back to the four on second down but scored on third on a nice counter play with about six minutes left. Was hoping for the stop there - was curious to see if Dudley would have tried a short FG if it came to that. Since they missed the extra point kick that could have been big.

Ragsdale got the bal on the 35 after the kick but really couldn't move the ball then made a predictable play on the recevier option pass by Roberts on third down - Dudley was all over that and intercepted the pass. Ragsdale D stopped Dudley who got a nice punt down to the two. Ragsdale had 3:30 to go 98 yards for the win. And it looked like they might pull it off when Heavner hit Luke Sonricker over the middle for 55 yards on 4th and 7. But that was as far as Ragsdale would get as Heavner over threw Roberts on third down. Dudley took a knee from there.

Again - congrats to Dudley on a great win and good luck next week. Heard Davis tell his team on Fox8 - no big plays in the pregame and they listened and executed.

Proud of the Tigers for another great season. Nothing to be ashamed about with another 13-1 season. They were a great team and played with a lot of heart all season. Win with class, lose with class

Hey Braves. It definitely was. Hibriten went ahead 27-14 and I couldn't believe the number of people that were leaving with 8 min or so left. I turned to my gf and told her that if Tuscola scores on the following drive like they had continued to do the entire night then things would get interesting.

NC State has a great looking QB coming into their program. The kid honestly I was thinking State made horrible decision in the 1st qtr because his accuracy rivaled that of Jamarcus Russell. The 2nd qtr he hit bout half of his throws, but the entire 2nd half. He was money. Great job Mountaineers. Good luck next week at West Rowan. I guess the Unifour area switches all our support to go follow Newton Conover next week as they host Salisbury and their massive athletic nose guard. Should be exciting.
