I would say Hibriten and Hickory would have to be the preseason favorites

    4A's in this 4A/3A

Here's what I know about the 3 former NW4A members. S. Caldwell battles but is lean on talent and height and is unlikely to be a threat at the top. Alexander Central lost their stud, Ryan Hargrave (a 20 and 10 kid give or take), who is now playing DI for Presbyterian, but has a coach who always seems to get a lot out of what he has to work with. Watauga lost their stud, Jeff Newell (a 20 and 10 kid) who is now playing DIII at Grove City (PA). They surprised everyone with a 3rd place conf finish last year after graduating 9 seniors the previous year. They return 4 kids who started or started part-time last year. I'd love to hear any specifics folks have about the rest of the teams in this new conference.
