4a allstate players

who will get allstate awards for the upcoming fastpitch season?

kind of early for that question. you seem to start threads with questions you never leave a answer to yourself. where is your answer first, then maybe in a month or two we will see if you was right. are you looking for someone to toot somebody's horn? let us know who to be watching. that is the best answer i have.

 

There was a similar post on the baseball forum and I will say here what I said there. The only things we have to judge on at this point are last year's high school stats and travel ball stats. Let the games be played and let the performances on the field speak for themselves. Let's not annoit any one as all state before the proof is in the scorebooks !!! Good luck to all those dedicated, hard working ladies out there who love to play!!!

thanks lblues1. at least we have a couple names to be looking for. but what about those coaches that feel they may have a player that may be deserving of that award. do they have to promote their stats to the media or some other avenue or does nchsaa keep up with this? an answer to that might help get news about other players in the state. some coaches may not know or not motivated to seek recognition for their good players.

 

Deserving

I believe U have to constantly sell your talent to get them reconized! I know most think great player always get noticed, ask some that never got to play college ball or never won awards. Some coaches just list kids they are real close to, others make deals with coaches so they each get a couple girls noticed, others try very hard to get kids noticed. Keep in mind that HS coaches also must teach as many as five classes a day, prepare test, grade homework, and still coach their team. Many do not have the time to sell the skills of their players. I think most HS coaches do the best they can with the time they have. We all second guess them at times but that is what it is all about, we all get second guessed but it should be in the enjoyment of the game and not to cause trouble for the coach. Well another subject sorry.
