4A East State Playoff Bracket

    Just curious, but according to the NCHSAA seeding priority the CAP 7 and Coastal conferences have top priority, yet looking at the brackets, the Midsoutheastern #1 and the Two Rivers #1 have first round wild card games. Wouldn't the higher seeded conferences get the first round wild card games? What am I missing here?

    I guess if I would have read further, it looks likes seeding priority is to establish home field when two equal seeds meet, not necessarily 1st round games. However, I still wonder what criteria is used to pit 1st round conferences against each other?
