    you'll see Archer

don't look for Clayton to "save" Archer for Rd. 2; wishful thinking yes- but that would be somewhat stupid on Clayton's part, IMHO.

I don't see Clayton saving Archer, they are a different team without him on the mound...

I doubt it happens either, but what if Clayton looks at Cary on paper instead of looking what they've done on the field the last couple of weeks? Saving your #1 guy for a 2nd Rd game would be the option a lot of coaches would take if they saw a first round opponent with a 12-14 record coming to their field.

Should be a good game. Cary's playing very hard right now with a lot of intensity and they really play well behind Bryan Booth.

Sounds like the game tonight could easily be 1-0 ballgame.

IMO, the ONLY time you would even think about holding your #1 starter for round 2 would be if your team was an offensive juggernaut and you could count on scoring six plus runs. Otherwise, coach takes too much risk.

You're right. But who knows what will happen.

Cary excepts to see Archer and they are probably going to be right.

I still think it's going to be a 1-0 game and it could go either way.

    Cary 6, Clayton 1

Bryan Booth looked a whole lot better than Chris Archer, and Cary won 6-1... Archer had control problems, Cary hitters were patient, and Booth kept it around the plate and got the outs...
