Alex Central vs AK was incredible. Last inning, scored tied, a player lifts one to the OF. The outfielder lost the ball in the lights...inside the park HR...game over.

Crest started Tisdale and brought in Robinson in the fifth.
Watauga started Amman and brought in Moore.
Robinson reportedly threw 128 pitches in Fridays first round game,
but got out of more tight jams than Houdini,
and also delivered a key hit after an intentional walk to Quattlebaum.
For Watauga, everything that could possibly go wrong, pretty much did.
A tough way to end a baseball career for most of the Pioneer seniors who are hanging em up.
Time to let it go, and move on.

    NW Guilford vs North Meck

    NW Guilford 7
    North Meck 1

North Meck's 18 game win streak ended Tuesday night against a strong NW Guilford team. NWG took advantage 8-10 BB by the normally strong NM pitching staff. Each team only mustered 4 hits on the night. Only one extra base hit in the game (Aaron Plummer NM- 3B) .

Logan Self (NWG) pitched a great game, forcing a lot of ground ball outs, getting himself out of jams time after time.

It was a little difficult watching my sons last game in a North Meck uniform, but I could not have been more proud of the way all the players handled themselves. The NW Guilford team has outstanding players and fans. My son told me that they were very nice and congratulatory throughout the game, a real class act. Congratulations to both teams!, and good luck in the next round.

Who was the batter? Don't see many in the park homeruns in high school

The player that hit the inside the park homerun was Dustin Harrington. Dustin had hit 5 HR's in his last 8 at bats going into that game. Dustin will be playing at East Carolina next year. Congatulations Dustin, the Heat Showcase team is rooting for you.
