4A State Championship - Holly Springs vs TC Roberson

Congrats to Holly Springs. Welcome to 'the club'!

 

Congratulations to Holly Springs, they outplayed TC for the 2 games that count the most. They showed class and played hard the way you are supposed to win state championships. My son played first base for TC and played hurt today after taking a pitch off the elbow on Friday nite but still hit well and played his heart out as did all the TC team. TC has had two great years and all their fans are proud of them.

 

Holly Springs and TCR are both very fine teams. TCR has some big boys! I can see how they were able to put up big offensive numbers all season. They can mash it. I think playing in 5 county stadium was a positive for Holly Springs as it is spacious! 385ft power allies and 400ft ctr, tall fences worked against TCR's power game. Smaller field, who knows. Both teams got after it and it was a great show.

Way to go Holly Springs! I hope to see Holly Springs keep their program strong and hopefully make another run at it in the near future.

 

Congratulations to both teams for a wonderful year. To make it to the finals is a tremendous accomplishment. A special congrats to Holly Springs for winning it all. It's something you will always remember.
