Because of the split conference both the 4a schools get a bid from the SCC and currently they sit at 5-7 and 2-10 in conference play.

three of the four 3a teams will get in. Currently 11-1, 9-3 and 6-6.
Team that is currently at 3-9 albeit with a better record than 2-10 won't.

What's up guys...long time no speak to many of ya'll.

Figure I would get in on the conversation. I am also one of those who believes the MEGA-7 gets 3 teams. As earlier said, its stated on the prelim bracket on the NCHSAA site.

Just to update one of the wild card teams...McDowell lost tonight, record is now 13-8. We got a pair of games left, will keep everyone updated.

I would assume all the records are pretty accurate in regards to possible wild card teams?

    Tonight

A number of important games across the 4A west this evening as several leagues wrap up tonight.

I-Meck – regular season final games
Hough @ Mallard Creek – the winner is conference champion, loser falls back into a tie for second.

Lake Norman @ Mooresville – the winner ties for second, the loser is the 4 seed in the IMeck tournament.

Piedmont-Triad – regular season final games
East Forsyth @ Glenn – EF win will give them at least a share of the P/T crown; Glenn is trying to hold off HPC and hold onto final playoff spot.

High Point Central @ Ragsdale – HPC win will give them a chance to qualify for playoffs for only the second time since 1980.

CPC – regular season final games

Top three teams are tied for first at 6-3. All three play the bottom three teams in the league tonight. A loss here will likely cost them a share of the crown.

SW4A – East Meck hosts Providence ; Butler hosts South Meck; Independence at Myers Park

Two spots for three teams as EM, Butler, & Indy are tied with two games to go.

Mega – East Gaston vs. Charlotte Catholic – EG trying to hold onto second place in 4A standings.

    Wild Card
    McDowell vs. Asheville
    Page @ SE Guilford.

McDowell needs to win to keep hold of WC spot – McDowell loss & a Page win and Page will move Page into a tie with McDowell.

    Some conferences are still TBD.
However, does South Caldwell have the Northwestern wrapped? Are all games completed?
    How did Watauga finish?

Does the Mt Athletic have a conference tourny?

Yes several leagues (SW4A, MEGA-7, MA) have regular season games next week even after tonights games. That, plus conference tournament winners can change the seeding. The bracket shown is just a projection based upon where teams are presently in their respective league standings before tonights games. It will change.

I believe SC has completed their conference schedule at 11-1. The other teams in the NW, including Watauga, finish this evening. Watauga has two conference losses and finishes against St. Stephens tonight.

The MA has had a tournament in the past and expect that they do again this year. MA and NW are a split conferences. Does the conference tournament winner (if applicable) still get the #2 seed in split leagues?

    CPC

North Davidson 2 West Forsyth 1
    Mt Tabor 7 Reagan 4
    Davie 7 Reynolds 0

Without the results of the conference tournament the seeds would be Davie 1, West Forsyth 2, Reagan 3 and Mt Tabor 4.

Is the Northwestern conference standings final? How's the pitching in this conference?

Yes, Northwestern is final barring a tournament championship by Alexander Central. South Caldwell finished at 11-1 in conference play while Watauga finished at 10-2. Pitching within this conf is pretty good South has Garrison Franklin (Army) and Spencer Greer (Uncommitted but will be going somewhere). Both are undefeated on the year. Watauga has Ethan Greene (Pfieffer) and Matt Profitt (Brevard) as their 1-2 punch. Hickory has Ryan Garlow (Charleston Southern). Watauga though has been tested this year playing some of the elite teams (AC Reynolds , Mt. Tabor, North Davidson, Davie County, Providence, and had Ardrey Kell but rain got all 3 dates). Every game beside two they have lost have been 1 run games 3-0 against Hickory and 10-5 against Providence. They split with conf winner South Caldwell 9-8 in a comeback win for the spartans in the 7th inning and an 11-3 win a few weeks back.
