This comes straight from the top of the brackets on the NCHSAA site....

"If equal seeds meet, follow seeding priority. Schools from the same
conference may meet in 1st round.
    "

Check it out on the link below....

You are correct. I guess it will depend on who gets the wild cards.

North Meck is a dangerous team, if they hit the ball!!! In past season this is something they have failed to do. Central Cabarrus always hits the ball and that is why they always rise to the top late in the season. My pick from the west is still South Meck. They are deep with pitching and hitting. They also have a coach who knows how to use his talent. Just my two cents worth!

    AC Reynolds / South Caldwell

I think AC Reynolds or South Caldwell will advance from the West.

    Agreed...

The Rockets can rip it, and have probably the best 1-2 punch in the state from the mound.

CENTRAL CABARRUS will go all the way.

Braves a team to watch out for is Central Cabarrus, they beat both North Meck and Hopewell twice this year to go undefeated in the Meca-6. They get no pub in the Sweet 16 ect. They've made no mention of their feat anywhere.

NOW I"M GOING TO JINX THEM - CENTRAL IS undefeated in conference play and has gotten no respect.

    :blah: :blah: :blah:

    worth a try.

You picked up right where NCBBallfan left off....good sandbaggin'

You are absolutely correct about Central Cabarrus and they are rarely mentioned....but I said Cinderella team. It's just a feeling I have about NM...nothing more.

Also, since we mentioned dangerous teams, how about Hopewell? This may be their best team yet. They are a veteran team with a ton of talent. They can hit and field with the best of 'em. I'm just not sure if they have the pitching depth needed to go deep in the playoffs. But they have the players that can step up

    Braves

The team you're speaking of has not shown up often enough - maybe they've been saving it. Time will tell.
