Any feedback on how this went Saturday? Players participating? Schools attending? I really planned to be there, but I'm looking forward to the next one.

Also in attendance were: CVCC, Wingate, Winthrop, Hi Point, Erskine, App, and St Andrews. There may have been more, hard to see them all. Alot of talent there also. There were alot of great hitters there, and every style of pitcher imaginable. I haven't attended this one since 2008 at the old facility. What a difference the larger facility and the splitting up of the days makes.
I was also impressed haw many of the coaches actually spent time helping the young men with their fundamentals. They were there looking for talent, but, like a true coach, they taught.

Pro Scouts in attendance included: Colorado Rockies, Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angles Dodgers, St Louis Cardinals and the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau.

More scheduled to be there this week.

I agree, it was very well attended with many scouts. I have to go back and watch again because my time was spent catching up with everyone. I did get a chance to see some kids that caught my eye--even a very talented 7th grader who fit in with the others. I understand there were 25 kids from Ohio alone--quite impressive.

Schaef and Collins do a great job in organizing this and it was fun to see the On Deck guys participating---strange, but cool at the same time. This merger is going to be huge for the Charlotte and surrounding area kids.

I wish I had more time, but it was great to see Mike Shildt and Woody again. Of course, spending an afternoon with Chris Hill is always fun and informative. I could spend all day listening to him. He's one of the best baseball people this state offers. And it was nice to get caught up with all of the great things going on at Wingate. For the SW4A fans, Olen Little was very impressive this fall.

Robert Woodard is excited with the freshmen hurlers at UNC...Tate Parrish shined brightly in the fall and will get an opportunity to prove himself.

I wish there was some kind of program for all the kids participating just so I could place a face with a name....and for the SW4A pitchers this year I hate to tell you, but Brett Austin looks taller, bigger and stronger than last year- a beast!!!!!

    IMFO

Will there be any imfo on the players that attended such as 60 times, pop times, and gun readings posted somewhere. Would be nice to see the names and numbers for the NC kids that attended with grad year to identify who to watch.
