    Nice to look at when it is 18 degrees with highs for the week only in the 30's.

    Be over before you know it

    Take it all in and enjoy every min. of it.......Pray that time will stand still for just a few of the best mins. during this precious time......But most of all make sure the kids have fun and enjoy it as much as we do......

    Wow, Todays high 30 degrees, probably want be much warmer on Feb. 15.

    Is Feb. 15th the first day HS can practice or is it the first day they can have tryouts?

    Yes -

    Many programs have been having up to eight men practicing all fall and winter except during "dead periods." Feb 15th will be the first day that more than eight can practice.

    Sometime in the first few days, a coach may reduce the number of participants that practice as he selects his team. There is nothing that states how long a "tryout" period must last or what constitutes a tryout. It is prohibited by NCHSAA for a coach to select his team prior to the first day of practice (2/15) based solely on the participation of off season skill development sessions.
