    if you follow this thread, it jumped from 8u travel to what is appropriate for all levels. I never laid claim as to knowing what 8 yrs olds knew their future.

    I just am 101% positive that you can't stay in local competition until a girl is 14, and expect be elite (unless she is a physical freak). Not in softball, gymnastics, cheer, golf, etc.

    yep burnout exists, in all sports, both genders.....even adults

    much of it has to do with the environment...nobody needs to be yelled at or humiliated 17 weekends a yr.
