Great article...scary thinking every player in starting lineup hits .400 or better!!!

 

The Lord opened the doors for me to return to Alexander Central and he answered my prayers that one day I would coach my daughters at Alexander. I have been very fortunate that I am surrounded by good players that are willing to be coached, great assistant coaches and supportive parents. There are so many things that have to line up to have a successful program, but if you start with the Lord at the top ,,,, the rest will fall into place.

Sorry about the name. I guess I misheard coach on the phone. Cell phones can be buggers sometimes.

And as for ol' Monte. He's a good dude. I've seen him pour his heart out for players he's coached, players with terminal illness, players he's lost, and I've seen him give away his time on and off the field. I've seen him drive two hours a day (think about that) to get to work and seen him go back home and build a dynasty. I've always liked the "armed services" mentality he brings to it, making everyone accountable. Most of the girls who I've talked to about him, during and after their runs, love him.

And that's what you want in a coach.
