AAU Season

    Why no discussion on AAU basketball?

    I would love to hear some information on these girls and their travel teams.

    Who plays together? Who dominates? When and where are the next tourneys? Who is developing into a great player? Who coaches? Who is the team to beat?

    Hate to say but this place is pretty much dead after the high school season is over...not too many on here follow the AAU and YBOA scene.

    Hey let's try to fix that. My DD is playing for the Cape Fear Hurricanes out of Wilmington. Our first tournament is this coming weekend (5/9-11) in Myrtle Beach. This is Britt's first year in AAU. We'll keep ya posted.

    Carolina Express 15 under State Champs

    The Carolina Express 15U ladies won the NC STATE YBOA title today in Mt. Airy. The team is made up of 6 players from St. Stephens, 2 from East Burke, 1 player from Freedom , 1 from Statesville High and a 8th grader from Statesville Middle . They beat the Fayetteville Warriors in the finals.

    Congrats, great job. Our 12U Hurricanes came in 2nd in Myrtle Beach this weekend. We went into the championship game undefeated and faced Forrest Heat from Lynchburg, Va., a team which we had defeated in an early round game. Things did not go so well in the rematch.
