    Home field could be a big factor. Should be a good match up.

    Alexander Central/AC Reynolds

    It will come down to turnovers. Last year the Cougars took advantage of the Rockets gifts and got the win. Both teams are much better this season. Reynolds will have to pound Harper, but it won't be easy. Remember McDowell got all those rushing yards last week against the 2nd unit defense. The Cougars front 7 is very good, maybe a little better than good. I think the Cougars balance on offense will be the tough for Reynolds to handle. The Cougars can run it with Bowles and they are the best passing team in the NWC4A.

    Now I am not here to make ANY predictions, but to say that Alexander Central will come here and defeat ACR worse then Asheville or TC Roberson either one defeated ACR I think is a stretch. NOW, I could be wrong, and if I am I'll be the first to admit it. Alexander Central just might win, I just don't think they will win by that wide a margin, not if Asheville had to score in the last 3 minutes of the game to defeat ACR by 4 points, and TCR held off ACR by 7 points. IF Alexander is better then both of them, then my hats off to them, and I'll be the first to congratulate them.

    This years ACR team is much better on defense. ACR has committed 9 turnovers so far this year but our opponents have converted those into just 3 points. This time last year (heading into the Alexander Central game) ACR had committed 11 turnovers and our opponents had scored 53 points off of them. This years ACR team isn't what you saw last year.

    McDowell's O-Line was seriously overmatched by the Cougars front seven and Davon Gardner still got nearly 70 yards rushing (4.5 yards per carry) against the starters in the first half. Take AC Reynolds who can likely matchup on the line of scrimmage with Alex. Central and a running back who is equal to Davon Gardner and I think the Cougars are in for a rude awakening this weekend. The Rockets will run the ball on the Cougars.
