AC vs Foard

They only point I was making was that AC can not get to excited about beating Patton. They are not that good plus they are going into a pretty tough conference. I feel that this is going to be a good year for AC since there are teams in the conference that are going to be down this year. But don't get me wrong I feel AC has a good team that will compete

 

Which are they in your opinion?

Are they not that good or are they a good team that will compete? Everybody "competes" or they say they do. It's competition. Do you think they are a good team or do you think they just compete because thats the name of the game? How many of AC's games have you went to this year? Don't think I'm fussing or arguing with you either because I'm not. I believe everybody has a right to say what they think or feel and if someone doesn't think a team is that good then that is their feeling or opinion. It's not a teams job to get worked up over what people think, but rather it's the teams job to go out and prove and earn the respect of people to make other people know that they are a great team. Not by what a teammate, coach, parent, fan, etc. says about them, but by the way they play on the field. Just wondering what made you think they aren't as good of a team and all.

 

Wasnt it just last week some people were saying that the game @ Patton would be a close game? And there were also those that thought AC would get blown out @ Davie County. My point being not many people gave this team a chance of starting 5-0 before the season. And it would seem there are still many who doubt this team is a legitimate contender. The biggest thing I have seen that makes me believe they can go deep into the playoffs, is their ability to adjust on defense. AC has allowed only 10 second half points all year because of adjustments made @ the half, and have all but shut teams down in the 2nd half.

I'm with you on that Maverick. I think AC is better than alot of people think. Just like I said though I am just wanting to know the reasons that some people may feel like AC isn't as good as what their record is.

 

I said I think that they are a good team. Every team does not compete there is a difference in competing and playing the game. Many teams will quit or lay down to other teams. A team that competes will play no matter who they play or whatever the score is. Thats a huge difference, but yes i do think AC has a good team

 

Did I misread what you said by saying they are not that good. Was you referring to Patton is not that good? If so then that's my bad for misreading what you were saying.

Yeah after reading back over what he said, I got that impression. That's my fault. But like I said I wasn't mad or anything. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Only thing that really makes me mad is when someone is degrading another player or coach's character or reputation. That makes me ill. Either way though I'm excited for a great game!

 

One I meant to say AC was a good team but I was saying that Patton wasnt that good. 2nd I know that Patton is a new school and thats why they are not that strong and I did not or will not throw off on players or coaches

 

Some observations on Alexander Central.

Patton was without their starting qb who was out with a concussion. Their #2 qb was injured in the 2nd quarter and never returned. The Panthers were down to their tailback taking snaps the rest of the night. This meant the Cougar defense was pinning their ears back and attacking a very one dimensional offense. The defense scored two touchdowns.

The Cougars are a ball control team. They run it about 90% of the time but can throw the ball effectively when they chose to. It's my opinion that they will throw a bit more often as the conference season progresses.

Alexander Central is prospering because they are forcing turnovers, and controlling the clock. It's a simple formula but not simple to execute.

This Cougar team is a true team so far. They play hard from the opening kick till the final second and they are confident. One other thing to note about Alexander Central this year. They are a quick team. They don't have a lot of guys who will show up with dazzling 40 times but they are football quick and that's a good thing. 5-0 has the community talking about the team like never before and if they keep winning it's going to get crazy around Taylorsville. They just can't afford to overlook anyone because they are not good enough to just show up and win. That's not a knock because very few teams can do that. It's the truly good teams that realize it.
