Watched the kid at East Middle for 2 years, and he does have some potential. He is ackward, and un-coordinated, but he will work that out. There's a Gryder kid that I personally think will have just as big of an impact because of his desire and hustle. Those are 2 things you just cant teach!

Don't care if you got a UNC grad or Roy Williams himself, it won't change the futility of Alexander Central basketball. The conference race will be between McDowell and East Burke.

AC has 7 seniors returning this year. Seth Payne, Brad Shuford, Brandon Kale, Matt Walker, Brian Lackey, Brian Lee, and DJ Linney. All of them seem to like Coach Wills. And just to let you know, the reason AC basketball hasn't been strong in the past is because we have went through a number of coaches. Then when AC gets a coach that stays for a couple years, he doesn't know how to coach (coach Boone). It will take a couple years but with a coach that knows what he is doing, I mean he had to learn a couple things from Dean Smith, AC will be a tough team to compete with. And in my opinion the conference will be lead by Freedom and East Burke. Mcdowell will be good as well but Freedom and East Burke at the top.
