    achs cougars come away with a huge win in ot over freedom tonite! my friend that called me the score ,wasn`t sure of the exact final, he thought it was 75-69. ( if thats not right im sorry) . congrats to coach wills and his staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:ylsuper:

    South Caldwell beats McDowell by 15 or so points in Marion. MHS has played terrible the last 2 games. Now they must win the next 2 games if they have any hope of making the playoffs. At FHS friday and at Reynolds on tuesday.

    Score was 49-33, SC.

    I personally dont care what you have to say, but this is a reason many call for Lloyd Church's head. Pathetic comes to mind. According to Van McKinney from WBRM-AM, this was South Caldwell's first win in Marion. McDowell was outhustled, outplayed, and outcoached in every way possible. Freedom may have a chance come Friday night.

    Oh and by the way....So much for the 1975-1976 State 4A Runner Up team photo being a surprise. Whoever installed it could have at least covered the damn thing up. Geez.....:thud:

    South did come away with a win in Marion about 3 years ago when David Marchand was a Senior. It was a Saturday afternoon makeup game for weather.

    Big win for the Spartans tonight though. It also mucks up the conference standings once again. If I have everything right:

    Alexander Central 3-1
    AC Reynolds 3-1
    East Burke 3-2
    South Caldwell 2-2
    Freedom 2-2
    McDowell 2-2
    Watauga 0-5

    This should be alot of fun to watch unfold, so hold on tight... :kenny:
