    It's not too hard to find a comprehensive schedule for the D1 teams, but putting together a schedule of action for the D2s/D3s/Jucos is a bit tougher.

    College baseball got off to it's official start last thursday when Texas College dropped a couple games to Prairie View ...

    This coming friday, local action will commence with the following games on docket.

    Charleston Southern @ Florida State 4 pm
    Delaware State @ NC State 3 pm
    Eastern Michigan @ East Tennessee State 3 pm
    Florida A&M @ Mercer 4 pm
    High Point @ Bethune-Cookman 6 pm
    Paul Quinn @ Prairie View A&M 3 pm
    Tennessee @ Florida Atlantic 7 pm
    VMI @ Auburn 4 pm
    Winthrop @ Miami (Fla.) 2 pm

    More teams jump into the fray on Saturday ... what other NC/SC teams crank up this weekend ... it's time to go watch some BASEBALL !!!!

    Miami's pitching fared better last weekend against Florida International than many expected. However, Winthrop should give the 'Canes a sterner test. I'm expecting a terrific series.

    *Miami's stadium, fairly unaccomodating in the best of circumstances, is still undergoing renovations. I'm afraid the visitors from Rock Hill may find less-than-ideal conditions.

    FWIW, I got word that Chipola JC went down to Miami Dade and took the series. Miami Dade was number 2 in the country at the time.
