In their inaugural game on television, they selected 38 players from across the US to participate. Florida and another State could not participate due to their HS rules.

It was well attended by scouts....well run by Baseball America/Perfect games and well pitched.

The pitching dominated, with UNC signee Adenhart looking very impressive. It was fun to watch the '04's play and to know I will get a chance to watch most of them in Jupiter for the PG world wood bat Tournament. It will be interesting to see how our guys from NC match up with the All Americans.

Did anyone else watch this game?...and what are your thoughts?

In conclusion, I would like to add one thing about this game. I have observed many players that are equal to or perhaps better than the players I witnessed on TV. It goes to show how important it is to play in the right Showcase tournaments. If you have never participated in a PG sponsored tournament(s), you will never be invited to this event.

The old saying, " If you are good, they will find you..." does not wash anymore. If you don't play in the right tournaments, they won't find you...Why?...because the scouts are there!

I also watched it Braves. I also was thinking about our local players could compete with that group .
I also noticed 90mph on television looks like low 80's .

But it seemed to be a pretty good game .

It was a good game to watch. High school baseball on tv-wow!

I agree that we have kids here in NC that would have competed well! Flack ,French or Fronk could have stood in there with the best hitters!. Adams-Atkins or Martin would have stood right in there with the other pitchers!

The announcer said that every MLB team had a scout there and most major colleges also! Wow!

One can't help to believe that this event will continue to grow into a HUGE success. I thought it was interesting that they will move the site from area to area.

...I would list Basham in the mix as well. His mechanics are better than any I saw on TV.

...for those that did watch the game...I am working on that "Guerra hop"....that was very interesting..and he will be at Jupiter this year, so come and watch him.

    yeppers!!!

Great talent there no doubt with hundreds of players across the country that could compete and succeed at this game/format! The diamond was awesome (infield)... Great job kudos to the groundskeepers or whoever......:D
