Alex Wood - Great News !!

    Alex Wood pitched for the University of Georgia last night - first time back since TJ arm surgery. They had him get up to 92 on the gun.

    He came in with 1 out in the third inning and had 1 strikeout, 1 walk and 1 hit and then picked off the runner.

    Even though Georgia lost badly, the Georgia coach David Perno said:

    "On the bright side, both freshmen Alex Wood and Zach Taylor were very good for us tonight. Wood was very strong and did a great job coming back from Tommy John surgery. Zach Cone and Kyle Farmer continue to produce and should be very good for us in the future. We just have to get better on the mound."

    Sounds like they need Alex Wood to keep coming back strong... Congrats to Alex and to Richard and Carol !!
