ACHS is definelty on a roll. The players are coming through with "key" hits and the pitching is getting the job done. As a former coach of these great young men I applaud them on what they have accomplished so far, and look forward to hearing about their impressive future play!:applause: :applause: :applause:

Congrats to Coach Comer and AC :applause: . It goes to show that sticking with a coach even if they have a couple of down years pays off.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER TROOPS :medal:

The Cougars repeated as Catawba Valley Easter Tournament champions last night at Henkel-Alley Field with an 11-1 victory over Hickory. Matt Payne was named the MVP of the tourney with Neal Johnson and Dustin Kerley selected to be on the All-Tournament Team. Congratulations!

InThatHead, I would not consider the last couple of years to be "down years" for ACHS. 2 years ago a very young ACHS team went to the 1st round of the State Palyoffs after winning the Conference Tournament Championship and basically 1 bad defensive inning cost them that game at Providence. Then last year, they repeated a Tourney Conference Champions and were "sucker punched" out of the State's due to 2 umpires that were "scared" to control the situation that was at hand. So I have to disagree with you in your statement about ACHS being "down" for a couple of years. Yes, this year they are on a "magical" ride that will hopefully carry them to a State Championship. I want to personally congratulate the team on a great Easter Tourney..Neal,Dustin great job guys..I knew your time would come..Hang in there, the college coaches will be calling and talking to you if they already aren't..Matty P., what more can be said..Simply awesome!! Good luck in the 2nd half..:applause: :applause: :applause: :laugh1: :laugh1: :laugh1:

BIG "A" I don't think that inthathead was talking about the ;ast two years, but rather the two before that. Three years ago AC had a losing record, and the year before that they made the playoffs, but many of the faithfull felt they underachieved, and blamed Comer. Now tey are playing well and are to be Congratulated. :applause:

Congrats to AC on the #1 ranking, and being the only undefeated 4A team left you deserve it. But outside Providence, who is only ranked #10, what other ranked teams has AC beaten? The NW 4A, a traditionally tough conference, seems to be doing a a little rebuilding this year. I haven't followed the AC schedule that closely to know.
