I agree it is to early for this............there are always surprises that come up. But if you want a good starting place just go to Impactbaseball and look at Andy's Top 25 05 grads. Then throw in the obvious 06's like Addison Johnson, Alex White and so on. That would just about cover the obvious picks as already stated.

  We can't even get close on the All-Conference lists. I think last year, most of the conferences we tried to list ended up with about 50 guys in each one of them. I just don't think these kind a lists are a strength of this board.

And if I remember, we were trying to do a top contenders list in 4A ball last spring and ended up mentioning about 45 of the 87 teams in the state playing 4A ball..... no, we just don't do Top-10's well.....

:xyzthumbs If we put our minds to it, we could probably come up with about 400+ names for this list ... maybe 500. Don't know what good it would do, but we can do it ....

I agree with what I have seen here.. Way too early. we have mentioned a "who's who" list of players here that will deserve consideration, the obvious guys that everybody knows about. Many dark horse candidates in other areas of the state will emerge as they always do, but for me to contribute right now is pure speculation and to inadvertently leave a deserving kid off the list from my league would definitely be good "bulletin board" material.

    NC is blessed

NC is blessed with great baseball players. One of the reasons I enjoy this board so much is that it gives you a good flavor of the talent and teams from across the state. It also awakens you to the reality that good baseball players exist outside your own conferences and beyond the players you know personally. While pre-season polls/player rankings are sometimes fun, reality dictates that they are nothing more than opinions and SWAG's into what the future might hold. With all the variables that can affect a season - injuries, bad luck, tough scheduling, you might do just as well forecasting the weather and we all know the accuracy of our local weather forecasters.
